Analyst is a first-party reasoning agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot that performs advanced data analysis, using chain-of-thought reasoning and running Python to answer complex data queries.
It is built on a reasoning model optimized for iterative, multi-step data work rather than open-ended research, and like Researcher is part of the core Copilot Chat experience.
