PlayPrepHQ ("we", "us", "the site") is a free study-aid website. This policy explains what information is collected when you use playprephq.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it plain and honest.
The short version
PlayPrepHQ is a static website with no user accounts and no login. We do not ask you for your name, email, or any personal details, and we do not sell personal information. Your study progress is stored only in your own browser. The data that is collected comes from third-party tools we use to run the site — analytics and advertising — described below.
Information stored in your browser
To make the study tools work, we save a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — for example, your flashcard and quiz progress (spaced-repetition schedule), which terms you've marked as known, and your light/dark theme preference. This data:
- stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or any server;
- is not linked to your identity;
- can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (which pages are visited, general location, device type) so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address. It does not tell us who you are. You can learn more from Google's Privacy Policy and opt out site-wide with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
PlayPrepHQ is supported in part by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to PlayPrepHQ or other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
We do not currently show a cookie-consent banner. Analytics cookies are set when you visit the site, so if you would rather they weren't, you can opt out using the links above, or block and clear cookies in your browser settings. Before we enable personalized advertising, we will add a consent mechanism for visitors in regions that require one, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Quiz and mock-exam results pages include a link to a relevant third-party
exam-prep product — typically a study-guide search on Amazon, and on the
NCLEX (nursing) pages a recommended question bank. As an Amazon Associate

at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked
rel="sponsored" and carry a visible disclosure. We only
recommend products we consider credible, but we are not responsible for the

you leave PlayPrepHQ.
Children's privacy
PlayPrepHQ is intended for adult learners preparing for professional and certification exams. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not collect personal information directly, there is no account for us to access or delete. You can control most data collection yourself by:
- clearing or blocking cookies in your browser settings;
- using the opt-out tools linked above;
- declining non-essential cookies in the consent banner where shown.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights regarding data processed by the third-party services above; those requests are generally directed to the relevant provider (Google).
